Candidates with a Surveyor ITI certificate must also have one year of experience in Survey and Settlement work involving modern techniques such as DGPS, ETS and large-scale mapping, obtained from a government-empanelled organisation or a recognised Indian GIS or surveying company. Madhyamik alone is not sufficient.
2. Age is reckoned as of 1 January 2024. Although applications open in October 2026, your age eligibility is calculated as of 1 January 2024. You must have been between 21 and 45 years of age on that date.
3. Paper I is qualifying only and a minimum of 30% is required. Paper I covers Bengali or Nepali (50 marks). You must score at least 15 marks in Paper I for your Paper II marks to count. Final merit is based entirely on Paper II (200 marks).
