The University of Delhi has released Advertisement No. R&P/323/2026 dated 19 October 2026 for 126 vacancies in Senior Assistant and Assistant posts. Both are non-teaching administrative positions at the University. Applications are open online at du.ac.in until 9 November 2026, or within two weeks of publication in the Employment News, whichever is later. Senior Assistant carries Pay Level 6 and Assistant carries Pay Level 4 under the 7th CPC. Both posts require a Bachelor’s Degree plus relevant work experience. Fresh graduates are not eligible.
Important Note
1. Work experience is mandatory for both posts. Senior Assistant requires three years of prescribed experience as Assistant or equivalent in Level 4. Assistant requires two years of prescribed experience and an English or Hindi typing speed. A degree alone does not make you eligible.
2. Previous applicants under Advertisement R&P/311/2024 are exempt from the application fee. If you applied for Senior Assistant or Assistant under the December 2024 advertisement, you do not need to pay the fee again for this recruitment.
3. The Preliminary Examination carries negative marking. Each correct answer gives 2 marks; each incorrect answer deducts 0.5 mark. The Preliminary Examination is only for shortlisting and does not count toward the final merit. Final merit is based on the Main Examination only.
