Eligibility Criteria
Who Is Eligible
Only the following categories are eligible to attend this rally:
- Ex-servicemen who are pension holders only, having served in MoEF&CC or State Forest Departments
- Ex-women employees including premature retirees of MoEF&CC and State Forest Departments
Candidates must have completed a minimum of 20 years of service in MoEF&CC or a State Forest Department as applicable to their category.

Physical Tests
For male candidates, the physical tests include:
- 1-mile run
- Pull-ups
- 8-foot ditch
- Zigzag balance beam
Candidates who pass the physical tests proceed to the next stages.
Proficiency Test
A trade test is conducted for tradesmen. For eligible ex-women candidates, the proficiency test covers afforestation and nursery management, as specified in the official notification.

Pay and Allowances
The notification does not specify a fixed salary amount. Enrolled personnel receive:

Important service conditions on pay:
- No annual increment is admissible under the terms of this enrolment.

Nature of Enrolment
- The Territorial Army is a voluntary organisation and essentially a part-time engagement.
- Enrolment period is 2 years from the date of enrolment.
- May be extended one year at a time, subject to satisfactory performance, suitability for continued service, and continuation of the project by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.
- Permanent employment is not promised.
