SJVN Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. 127/2026 inviting online applications for 21 posts of Chief General Manager (E8a), Deputy Manager (E4) and Engineer (E2) across Electrical, Mechanical, Control and Instrumentation (C&I) and Chemical disciplines. These posts are for STPL, SJVN’s fully owned subsidiary executing the 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar. Additional criteria for Govt. / CPSE candidates:
- E8(a): Must be working in IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,20,000-3%-2,80,000 (or equivalent) for at least the last 4 years.

Selection Process
- Scrutiny of applications based on job specifications.
- Screening test (qualifying in nature only, at Management’s discretion) – 50% qualifying marks for UR / EWS / ESM and 40% for reserved categories. Marks do not carry weightage in the final merit list. Test centre and schedule communicated separately.
- Document verification of shortlisted candidates.
- Personal Interview – final merit list is drawn purely on marks scored in the interview.
- Qualifying marks in the interview: 50% for UR / EWS / ESM and 40% for SC / ST / PwBD / OBC (NCL).
- Candidates may appear for the Personal Interview in Hindi or English.
- Experienced candidates with experience beyond the prescribed minimum may be considered for service weightage by the Selection Committee.
- Medical fitness is mandatory before joining. Candidates should not resign from their current employment until they are declared medically fit.
