Bengaluru Rural District Court Recruitment 2026 - 86 Posts - Apply by 6 Nov

The Principal District and Sessions Court, Bengaluru Rural District has released four recruitment notifications (ADM/133/2026, ADM/134/2026, ADM/135/2026 and ADM/136/2026, all dated 30 September 2026) for 86 posts of Typist, Typist-Copyist, Process Server and Peon. Online applications open on 7 October 2026 and close on 6 November 2026 at 11:59 PM at bengalururural.dcourts.gov.in. The recruitment is under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2021 and is subject to the final judgment of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka in WP Nos. 200448/2025, 17968/2025 and 3145/2023.

Important Note: Three things every candidate must know. First, obtain all required certificates – caste/category, income, rural reservation, disability, Kannada medium – in the prescribed formats from competent authorities BEFORE applying. All certificates must be valid as on 6 November 2026. Do not apply without having the correct certificates in hand. Second, details entered in the application (date of birth, qualification, reservation, age relaxation) CANNOT be changed after submission. Verify everything carefully before clicking Submit. Third, the application fee is paid only through State Bank Collect (online). Demand Drafts, Postal Orders, Money Orders and Challans are NOT accepted.

Bengaluru Rural District Court Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

Typist and Typist-Copyist

  1. Skill Test: 15-minute dictation in Kannada and English, typed on computers using special software. Max 100 marks each language. Minimum 50 in each to qualify.
  2. Interview Shortlisting: Top candidates in 1:5 ratio (per post per reservation) based on educational marks + skill test marks.
  3. Interview: Marks equal to 5% of maximum eligibility test marks.
  4. Final Merit: Percentage of marks in educational qualification + eligibility test percentage + interview marks.

Process Server

  1. Candidates called for interview in 1:25 ratio based on SSLC percentage.
  2. Interview: 10 marks.
  3. Final merit based on interview marks. Tie-breaking: older candidate ranked higher.

Peon

  1. Candidates called for interview in 1:10 ratio based on SSLC percentage.
  2. Interview: 10 marks.
  3. Final merit based on interview marks. Tie-breaking: older candidate ranked higher.

How to Apply for Bengaluru Rural District Court Recruitment 2026

  1. Obtain all required certificates (caste/category, income, rural, Kannada medium, disability, ex-servicemen etc.) in the prescribed formats from the competent authorities BEFORE applying. All certificates must be valid on 6 November 2026.
  2. Visit the recruitment page at bengalururural.dcourts.gov.in.
  3. Select and read the notification for the post you wish to apply for.
  4. Fill the online application form carefully with correct personal, educational and reservation details.
  5. Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph (white background, JPG, max 50 KB) and your signature on white paper in black ball point pen (JPG, max 25 KB).
  6. Claim all eligible reservations in the same application. Only one application per candidate.
  7. Submit the form and then pay the fee through State Bank Collect. E-verify payment immediately.
  8. Download and save the application and fee receipt until the recruitment ends.
  9. Admit cards must be downloaded from the court website – they are not sent by post.

Important Instructions

  • Obtain all required certificates BEFORE applying. Do not apply without them.
  • Details in the application CANNOT be changed after submission. Double-check before submitting.
  • Only ONE application per candidate. If multiple applications are submitted, only the last one is considered.
  • Fee payment through State Bank Collect ONLY. No DD/PO/MO/Challan accepted.
  • If your marks card shows grade points, get a marks conversion certificate from your board/authority before entering marks.
  • Candidates already in service must submit an NOC within 30 days of the selection list publication.

  • 2-year probation period with compulsory departmental exam, Kannada test and computer literacy test for Typist and Typist-Copyist.
