Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. HRAQ/REC-EX-B/2026-02 dated 11 September 2026 inviting applications from Indian Nationals for 3 posts in Grade D/E/F: Deputy Chief Chemist (CHEM-01), Deputy Chief Engineer – Reservoir (RES-02) and Economist (ECO-03). The online application window opened on 11 September 2026 at 11:00 hrs and closes on 10 October 2026 at 11:00 hrs. All three are senior-level positions requiring 9 or more years of post-qualification relevant work experience. Selection is through Personal Interview only. The cut-off date for all eligibility conditions including age, experience and qualification is 10 October 2026.

Important Note: Four things every applicant must verify before applying. First, the experience requirement is stringent and very specifically defined. Academic, teaching, research fellowship, JRF/SRF, PhD scholar, project-based, consultancy, internship and similar engagements are explicitly excluded from the definition of “Post Qualification Relevant Work Experience.” Only full-time employment in Executive cadre in Government departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies or reputed private sector (with annual turnover of Rs. 500 crores or more) counts. Second, candidates in permanent employment with Government or PSUs must produce a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of Personal Interview without which they will not be allowed to appear. Third, the Economist post offers entry at Grade D, E or F depending on years of experience (9, 13 or 17 years respectively) – candidates must apply for the specific grade they are eligible for. Fourth, the maximum upper age limit for any candidate including all relaxations shall not exceed 54 years.
