Selection Process

Skill Test – Para Pump Operator
The test checks practical knowledge of pump work, including:
- Minor pump repairs, finding faults, and replacing and fitting defective parts

The test checks practical knowledge of pipeline work, including:
- Repairing water supply pipelines, stopping leaks, and adding or closing connections
- Pipe fitting basics, pipe sizes, and operation and maintenance
- Cutting threads with ratchet and die sets and fitting specials with basic tools
- Managing village water supply layouts and regulating flow for fair distribution in hilly terrain
- Handling pipe-fitting tools
- Handling public complaints and resolving conflicts
