Eligible Engineering graduates can apply online from 7 October 2026 (14:00 hrs) to 17 October 2026 (14:00 hrs) through the Careers section of hal-india.co.in. Selection is through Interview only. The maximum tenure of engagement is 3 years with no extension.
Important Note: Three things every candidate must know before applying. First, apply for ONLY ONE Engineering Discipline. If you submit more than one application for different disciplines, ALL applications will be summarily rejected and the fee paid will be forfeited. If you submit multiple applications for the same discipline, only the last submitted one will be considered. Second, an application once submitted CANNOT be altered under any circumstances. Cross-check every detail — name, date of birth, category, discipline and marks — before final submission. The category filled in the online application will not be changed under any circumstances. Third, this is a Short Term engagement for a maximum of 3 years from the date of joining. The tenure ends automatically after 3 years without any notice and cannot be extended. This engagement does NOT confer any right to claim regular executive status in HAL.

- Fill in the Eligibility Details. On submission, a unique Application Number is generated. Eligibility details cannot be edited after this step. You can re-login later to complete the remaining steps.
- Fill in Personal, Qualification and other details. Use the Edit option to make corrections before final submission.
- Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph (JPG, less than 100 KB) and signature (JPG, less than 50 KB).
- Enter all semester/year marks carefully.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates: the process is complete after submitting personal and qualification details on the application confirmation page. No fee payment required.
- UR/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates: after submitting details, pay Rs. 500 online via SBI Collect (credit card/net banking/UPI). Fee validation takes 48 to 72 hours; re-visit the application page to download the final application form after successful payment validation.
