Eligibility Criteria
PGT Posts (Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, History, Political Science)
Candidates must hold either: (A) an Integrated Post Graduate course from an NCTE-recognized institution in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, including a B.Ed component; or a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks in the concerned subject, along with a B.Ed Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks; or a three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks; or a four-year integrated degree with a B.Ed component from an NCTE-recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks. And (B) proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Desirable: Experience in TGT/PGT teaching in a recognized institution in the concerned subject, experience working in a residential school, and knowledge of computer applications.
TGT Science
Candidates must hold a four-year integrated degree course from an NCTE-recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks in the concerned subject(s) as well as in aggregate, including a B.Ed component; or a Bachelor’s/Honours Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects, along with a B.Ed Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks; or equivalent integrated B.Ed-M.Ed/Special Education pathways from NCTE-recognized institutions with a minimum of 50% marks.
Candidates must have studied Honours/Main subject along with subsidiary subjects across at least three years/6 semesters of graduation, or four years/8 semesters of an integrated degree course, per the following combinations: Biology/Life Science with Chemistry & Botany or Zoology as subsidiary; Botany with Chemistry & Zoology as subsidiary; Zoology with Chemistry & Botany as subsidiary. Candidates who studied under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with the above subject combinations are also eligible.
TGT Social Studies
Candidates must have studied any two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science at the graduation level, out of which one must be either History or Geography, and the second subject and Elective subject for at least one year/any two semesters in graduation/four-year integrated degree course. Candidates who studied under CBCS with the above subject combination are also eligible.
TGT English
Candidates must have studied English as an Elective/Main subject in at least three years/6 semesters in graduation/four-year integrated degree course.
