The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Jaipur, on behalf of North Western Railway (NWR), has released Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) for the engagement of 2,008 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the training year 2026-27, across 8 units in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur divisions. Trades include Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Carpenter, Painter, Mason, Diesel Mechanic, Turner/Machinist, Electronics Mechanic, COPA, R&AC and more. Online applications are accepted from 7 October 2026 to 6 November 2026 at 23:59 hours at rrcjaipur.in. There is no written examination — selection is entirely merit-based on Class 10 and ITI marks.
Important Note: Three things every candidate must know. First, you may apply for ONLY ONE unit out of the 8 listed. Before selecting a unit, verify that a training slot exists for YOUR specific ITI trade at that unit — if your trade has no slot in the unit you selected, your candidature will be ineffective. Second, no changes are allowed after fee payment. Use the Print Preview option to verify every detail — name, father’s name, date of birth, category, qualification marks — before paying. Your name and father’s name must exactly match your Matriculation certificate. Third, this apprenticeship does NOT guarantee a job on the Railway after training completion. Neither the Railway is obligated to offer employment, nor the apprentice to accept it.

RRC NWR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
No written examination. Selection is entirely merit-based:
Merit Formula:
Merit % = (Class 10 Aggregate % + ITI Marks %) ÷ 2
- Class 10 percentage: aggregate of all subjects (not any specific subject or group of subjects).
- ITI percentage: as mentioned in the provisional/final NTC certificate.
- Minimum 50% in Class 10 is compulsory — not rounded off.
- Tie-breaking: older candidate ranked higher; if date of birth is also the same, candidate who passed Class 10 earlier is preferred.
- Merit lists are prepared separately for each unit, each trade and each community (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS).
After merit list: Selected candidates are called for Document Verification, where they must produce original certificates including a medical fitness certificate signed by a Gazetted Government Doctor (not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon from a Central/State hospital).
