ICG CGEPT Recruitment 2026 - Apply at SSC for 365 Navik - Yantrik Posts by 21 Oct

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Ministry of Defence, has invited online applications through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Enrolled Persons through the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT) for Batches 01/2027 and 02/2027. Posts include Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch), Yantrik (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) and Hygienist-I. Applications opened on 6 October 2026 at 11:00 AM and close on 21 October 2026 at 5:30 PM at ssc.gov.in. The tentative total vacancy count is 365. Basic training for CGEPT-01/2027 commences in May 2027 and for CGEPT-02/2027 in November 2027, both at INS Chilka.

Important Note: Three critical things every candidate must know. First, applications are submitted at ssc.gov.in – NOT at the Indian Coast Guard website. Register and apply only at the SSC portal. Second, permanent body tattoos disqualify candidates from ICG service – the only exception is tattoos on the inner face of the forearm (inside elbow to wrist) and on the back/dorsal side of the hand. Any other tattoo on any part of the body is disqualifying. Third, a candidate may apply for ONLY ONE POST in a given recruitment cycle. If you fill multiple applications, only the latest one is considered – but the fee for earlier applications will NOT be refunded.
