About the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES)
Under the TES scheme, selected candidates are granted Permanent Commission as Officers in the Indian Army. Training is at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun (after initial training). TES is a direct entry for Class 12 PCM students who have appeared in JEE (Mains) — no written examination by the Army is conducted; merit for SSB shortlisting is based on JEE (Mains) performance and Class 12 PCM marks.
