Mandatory Eligibility Conditions (Applicable to All Posts)

  • Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh, holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)
  • Must be an original inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate
  • Must possess the ability to speak an indigenous tribal language, along with working knowledge of local indigenous tribes and customs

Educational Qualification

Finance & Accounts Officer / Treasury Officer: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Economics, OR a Bachelor’s degree with Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory subject in all semesters/years of study.

Sub-Treasury Officer: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration, OR a Bachelor’s degree with Economics and Statistics as compulsory subjects in all semesters/years of study.

Assistant Director (Prosecution): Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree along with a minimum of 7 years of active criminal court advocacy practice, OR equivalent experience as a Magistrate First Class.

Assistant Public Prosecutor: Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree along with a minimum of 7 years of practice in criminal law.

Age Limit (As on 12.10.2026)

  • Basic Age Requirement: 21 to 35 years
  • Age Relaxation for APST Candidates: Up to 5 years
  • Age Relaxation for APST PwBD Candidates: Up to 15 years
  • Regular State Government Employees: Age relaxation as per applicable government regulations

Selection Process

The selection process for APPSC Group A & B Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages:

Preliminary Screening (Recruitment Test) — Conducted Only If Required

  • Total Marks: 200
  • Purpose: Screening stage conducted when the number of applicants is very high; approximately 12 times the number of advertised posts are shortlisted to appear for the main written examination

Qualifying Criteria for Written Examination:

  • General Candidates: Minimum aggregate of 33%, with at least 20% marks required in each individual paper
  • PwBD Candidates: Minimum aggregate of 20%, with at least 10% marks required in each individual paper

Approximately 3 times the number of advertised vacancies will be called forward for the Viva-Voce (interview) stage based on performance in the written examination.
