The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the Information Brochure for Agniveervayu Non-Combatant Intake 01/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme, inviting applications from eligible candidates for enrolment in the Hospitality and Housekeeping streams. This is an offline application drive – candidates must download the application form from the official IAF recruitment web portal, fill it manually, and send it by normal post or drop it in the designated drop box at one of more than 130 IAF stations and application centres across India. The last date for receipt of applications is 17 August 2026. Eligible candidates are unmarried males born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 who have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent and meet the prescribed medical standards. The engagement is for a fixed period of four years under the Air Force Act, 1950, with a starting monthly package of Rs. 30,000, rising to Rs. 40,000 in the fourth year.
Important Note: Four conditions specific to this recruitment are frequently overlooked and must be read before applying. First, only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Candidates must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period, and any Agniveervayu Non-Combatant who marries during service will be dismissed. Second, the number of vacancies is not specified in the Information Brochure; instead, locations list available streams, and some HQ WAC locations note that stream-specific vacancies will be updated later. Third, the application form must strictly follow the format available on the official web portal – applications in any other format are rejected. Fourth, this is a four-year contractual engagement with no pension, no gratuity, and no Ex-Servicemen status upon discharge. Up to 25% of each batch may be considered for permanent enrolment in the IAF as NC(E) after four years, but this is not a right and depends on performance and merit.
