- Selection is based on a Written Test and relevant work experience.
- Written test: 2 hours, 100 MCQs, maximum 100 marks, across 5 sections.
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Final merit: 80% weightage of written test marks + marks for relevant work experience (max 20 marks).
- Experience marks: 1 mark per completed 3 months, up to a maximum of 20 marks for 5+ years’ relevant experience.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (Unreserved), 35% (all reserved categories).
- The written test will be conducted only in Chandigarh.
- Test medium: English, except questions on Punjabi language.
- Tie-breaker: older candidate ranked higher.
