UPESSC TGT REVISED RESULT 2026 DECLARED

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, has released the Revised Result for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) recruitment under Advertisement No. 01/2022 against 3,539 advertised posts across 15 subjects. The revised selection result was declared on 23 August 2026 and covers twelve subjects – Science, Home Science, Social Science, Music (Instrumental), Music (Vocal), Biology, Mathematics, Arts, Agriculture, Physical Education, Commerce and Urdu – along with separate cut-off lists for Boys and Girls. Three subjects – Hindi, Sanskrit and English – are excluded from this revised result due to pending litigation before the Hon’ble High Court. Candidates can check their result and score card by logging into the candidate portal at upessc.net using their Roll Number and Date of Birth. The candidature of candidates who remained absent on both the scheduled and rescheduled document verification dates stands cancelled.

Important – Read Before You Check: Four things every TGT candidate must be clear on before checking this result. First, this is a Revised Result, not a fresh one – UPESSC issued the initial final result on 28 July 2026; the 23 August notification revises selection for twelve subjects after document verification was completed, and corrects candidature of absentees. Second, Hindi, Sanskrit and English results are not included here – they are held back due to ongoing High Court proceedings, and candidates from those subjects must wait for a separate official notification. Third, absence from document verification on both the scheduled and rescheduled dates has resulted in cancellation of candidature – if you missed both dates and your roll number was in the earlier list, verify your status carefully in this revised result. Fourth, cut-offs are released separately for Boys and Girls – cross-check your marks against the correct gender-specific and category-specific cut-off, not the general one.

The initial final result of 28 July 2026 covered 14 subjects and 2,982 posts. The 23 August revised result updates that selection after the document verification round, which was conducted from 9 to 17 July 2026. Two categories of revision apply:

Type of ChangeWhat It Means
Candidature cancelled – absent from DVCandidates who did not appear on both the scheduled and rescheduled DV dates have been dropped from the selection list
Revised merit listSubject-wise selection lists updated to reflect the above cancellations and any corrections arising from DV scrutiny
Revised cut-offCategory-wise and gender-wise qualifying marks updated to match the revised merit position

Candidates who were in the 28 July list should check this revised result carefully to confirm their current selection status before assuming they are still selected.

Frequently Asked Questions – UPESSC TGT Revised Result 2026

Q1. What is the UPESSC TGT Revised Result 2026?
It is an updated selection result released by UPESSC on 23 August 2026 for the TGT recruitment under Advertisement No. 01/2022, revising the initial final result of 28 July 2026 after document verification. It covers 12 subjects and includes revised cut-offs separately for Boys and Girls.

Q2. Why is the result called “Revised” and not “Final”?
Because UPESSC had already released the initial final result on 28 July 2026. The 23 August notification revises that selection after document verification – removing candidates who were absent from DV on both scheduled dates and making any corrections arising from document scrutiny.

Q3. Which subjects are included in the revised result?
Twelve subjects – Science, Home Science, Social Science, Music (Instrumental and Vocal), Biology, Mathematics, Arts, Agriculture, Physical Education, Commerce and Urdu – along with cut-off lists for Boys and Girls.

Q4. Why are Hindi, Sanskrit and English not in this result?
Because their selection is subject to pending litigation before the Hon’ble High Court. Results for these three subjects will be notified separately once the legal proceedings conclude. Candidates from these subjects should not interpret their absence from this result as rejection.

Q5. What happened to candidates who missed document verification?
Candidates who remained absent on both the scheduled and rescheduled document verification dates have had their candidature cancelled. If you were in the 28 July list but missed DV, check this revised result carefully to see if your roll number is still included.

Q6. How do I check my result and score card?
Log in at the UPESSC candidate portal using your 10-digit Roll Number and Date of Birth in DDMMYYYY format as the password. The direct link is in the Important Links table above. Subject-wise merit list PDFs are also available separately on the portal.

Q7. How are cut-offs structured for this result?
Cut-offs are released separately for Boys and Girls, and further broken down by reservation category – UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, Ex-Army Personnel, Physically Handicapped and Dependents of Freedom Fighters. Compare your marks against the correct gender and category column for your subject.

Q8. How many total posts are covered by Advt. No. 01/2022?
3,539 TGT posts across 15 subjects. The initial final result covered 14 subjects and 2,982 posts. This revised result updates that selection for 12 of those subjects, with Hindi, Sanskrit and English still pending.

Q9. What is the next stage after this result?
Institution allocation, where selected candidates will be allotted colleges based on merit rank and preferences submitted. The schedule for this process has not yet been announced by UPESSC.

Q10. Where will all further updates for this recruitment be published?
Only on the official UPESSC website at upessc.up.gov.in. Check it regularly for institution allocation dates, any further revisions, and updates on Hindi, Sanskrit and English subject results.
