Preparation Tips

  • Arithmetic and Reasoning carry equal weight to General Studies – practice calculation speed daily since both sections appear in the same time block.
  • The Telangana State-specific section (districts, Nizam era, Godavari / Krishna / Musi rivers, state formation timeline, schemes) is unique to this exam and not covered in generic GK prep material – dedicate separate revision time to it.
  • Since there is no negative marking, attempt all 200 questions in both PWT and FWE.
  • Practice 200-question mock tests under a 3-hour timer to build stamina for the actual exam.
  • For PET, begin physical training early – AR / TSSP aspirants should work towards sub-6-minute 1600m run timings.
  • Arithmetic questions are typically SSC 10th-standard level – regular daily practice is more effective than intensive last-minute revision.
  • Read Telugu / Urdu newspapers alongside English preparation to stay comfortable with the bilingual paper format.
