Selection Process
Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (mandatory for all posts):
All applicants must appear in the CBT. For Construction Assistant ‘A’ and Construction Handler, the final provisional merit list is based solely on CBT marks. There is no Endurance Test or Skill Test for these two posts.
Stage 2 – Endurance Test (FED-OG only) – Qualifying in nature:
Candidates shortlisted from CBT at a ratio of at least 1:15 (vacancy to candidate) appear for a physical Endurance Test:
- Carrying filled sand and water buckets 100 metres in 45 seconds
- 20 squats
- 15 push-ups
- 15 bent-knee sit-ups
Stage 3 – Skill Test (FED-OG and CMTD-OG) – Qualifying in nature:

Final Merit: The Endurance Test and Skill Test are qualifying only – they do not contribute marks to the final merit. The final merit list for all posts is based on CBT marks only, subject to qualifying in the applicable test(s).
Tie-breaking rule: Where two candidates score the same aggregate marks, the older candidate (earlier date of birth) is ranked higher. If date of birth is also the same, alphabetical order of the first name is used.
