Selection Process
Junior Engineer-I and Junior Accountant: Single Computer-Based Test (CBT), 2 hours, 100% objective MCQ. Part A (60% weightage) – technical subject at degree level. Part B (40% weightage) – Reasoning and Mental Ability, Mathematics, General Knowledge and Everyday Science (with reference to Rajasthan), Hindi General (Class X level) and English General (Class X level). No interview. Minimum qualifying marks: 30% for UR; 20% for SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS/Ex-servicemen/PwBD, in each part.
Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II: Phase-I CBT in two stages – Pre-examination (screening, no weightage) and Main-examination. Phase-II Type Writing Test in Hindi and English on computer (60% weightage in final merit; Main-examination carries 40%). PwBD candidates receive average Main-exam marks in lieu of the Type Writing Test. No interview. Negative marking in Main-examination but not in Pre-examination. Same minimum qualifying marks as above.
Tie-breaking: For equal marks, the elder candidate ranks higher. For JE-I, apprenticeship training completed in a Vidyut Nigam under the Apprentices Act, 1961 gives preference within that Nigam in a tie.
Examination Centres
The CBT is conducted in Online mode only. Candidates must select 6 preferences from the 12 available centres: Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Dausa, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Sikar, Sriganganagar and Udaipur. Allotment is at the discretion of RVUN based on availability. No request for change of centre, date or session is entertained.
