This recruitment is being conducted to fill up hostel staff posts, other than the KGBV Type-IV category, for the Boys’ Hostel of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Pakidi Hill, Block-Sheragada, Ganjam, pursuant to guidelines issued vide OAV letter No. 4023/OAVS dated August 7, 2025. Eligibility Criteria
Warden
Candidates must be male, aged between 30 and 60 years as on September 18, 2026, and hold a BA/B.Sc. degree. Preference will be given to local candidates, preferably from the block area where the hostel is located; if unavailable, candidates from other blocks of the district will be considered. Retired male teachers who are willing and physically and mentally sound, within the age limit of 62 years as on the date of engagement, may also be engaged as Warden. A minimum of 2 years of experience in hostel management is required.
Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper
Candidates must be male, aged between 21 and 32 years, and must have passed HSC (Matriculation) or an equivalent examination. Preference will be given to local candidates; if unavailable in that locality, the block will be taken as a unit, and candidates from other blocks of the district will be considered if still unavailable.
Head Cook
Candidates must be male, aged between 30 and 40 years, and must possess cooking experience; there is no bar on higher qualification. Candidates must be well conversant with the use of LPG. Preference will be given to local candidates where the hostel is located; if unavailable in that locality, blocks will be taken as a unit.
Assistant Cook
