Educational Qualification – Minimum Marks Criteria
- General (UR/EWS/OBC): Minimum 60% aggregate in the qualifying degree/PG degree/diploma.
- SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 50% aggregate.
- Departmental candidates (SC/ST/PwD): Minimum 45% aggregate.
- Departmental candidates (UR/OBC): Minimum 55% aggregate.
- Final-year students may apply, but must pass the qualifying exam before GD & Interview and produce the final pass certificate at that stage; otherwise candidature will not be considered.

Salary / Pay Scale
- During Training (6 months): Basic Pay Rs. 50,000 + Dearness Allowance (IDA) as per Company rules.
- Post-Training: Designated Assistant Manager, scale pay Rs. 60,000-1,80,000, initial Basic Pay Rs. 60,000/month.
- Entitled to DA, perquisites under the Cafeteria Approach, PF, Gratuity, PRP, and other allowances per NSL rules.

- CBT is conducted in Hindi & English, objective-type, multiple-choice.

- Candidates are called for GD & Interview discipline-wise and category-wise in a 1:3 ratio based on CBT marks (all candidates with equal marks at the cut-off are included even if the ratio is exceeded).

- A Pre-Employment Medical Examination at NSL’s recognized hospital(s) is mandatory before joining; no relaxation in health standards is allowed.
