JKPSC WRITTEN EXAM 2026 MEDICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), Resham Garh, Jammu (180016) / Solina, Srinagar (190001), has issued Notice No. PSC/Exam/H&ME/2026/25 dated 30 July 2026, in continuation of the earlier office notice dated 11.07.2026, announcing that the Written Examination (Objective Type) for various posts in the Health and Medical Education Department, notified vide different advertisement notifications, will be conducted on 11 August 2026 (Tuesday). The examination covers 13 disciplines across two sessions – the Forenoon Session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon (7 disciplines) and the Afternoon Session from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM (6 disciplines). Posts covered include Assistant Professor in 12 medical specialties (notified under Advt. Nos. 12-PSC(DR-P)/2025, 15-PSC(DR-P)/2025, and 19-PSC(DR-P)/2025) and Casualty Medical Officer (notified under Advt. No. 14-PSC(DR-P)/2025). Candidates must download their Admit Cards from the official JKPSC website jkpsc.nic.in and carry them to the examination centre along with a valid original Photo ID. The notice also states that exam dates for the remaining disciplines notified vide the earlier notice dated 11.07.2026 will be announced separately.

Important Note: Four critical points every candidate appearing in this examination must note immediately. First, the exam is on 11 August 2026 – only 9 days away from today; download your Admit Card from jkpsc.nic.in without delay as JKPSC typically releases admit cards only a few days before the exam. Second, this notice covers 13 out of the total disciplines announced in the earlier notice dated 11.07.2026 – candidates whose disciplines are not listed in this notice (remaining disciplines) should continue monitoring jkpsc.nic.in for a separate announcement of their exam date. Third, candidates appearing in both sessions (if applicable) must be prepared for a full day at the examination centre – the Forenoon Session ends at 12:00 Noon and the Afternoon Session begins at 02:00 PM; plan your travel and meals accordingly. Fourth, the examination is an Objective Type (MCQ) written exam – candidates should confirm whether it is pen-paper OMR based or computer-based by checking the official Admit Card and jkpsc.nic.in, as JKPSC has used both modes for different exams.
