HARYANA POLICE SPO RECRUITMENT 2026

The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Telecommunication, Haryana, Panchkula has released a notification for the engagement of 400 Special Police Officers (SPOs) in the Telecommunication Wing of Haryana Police, under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. This engagement is exclusively for Ex-Servicemen of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF) and Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions. Eligible candidates must appear in person – district-wise – from 24 to 27 August 2026 at Police Lines Telecommunication, Opposite Sector-25, Near Village Moginand, Panchkula, Haryana, from 9:00 AM onwards on the date assigned to their district. There is no online application, no written test and no physical test. Monthly honorarium is Rs. 20,000. Engagement is for 1 year only, or until regular appointment to these posts, whichever is earlier. Preference is given to candidates from the Signal Corps of the Armed Forces or CAPFs. There is no application fee and no TA or DA for attending.

Important Note: Three things every eligible ex-serviceman in Haryana must act on before their district’s assigned date. First, the walk-in is district-wise and each district has only one assigned date – if you miss your district’s date, your application will not be accepted on any other day. Check the district-date table carefully. District-wise dates are: 24 August (Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal), 25 August (Sonepat, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri), 26 August (Gurugram, Faridabad, Mewat or Nuh, Palwal, Rewari, Narnaul) and 27 August (Hissar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Hansi, Jind, Dabwali). Second, your discharge medical category must be ‘A’ and your character certificate at discharge must be ‘Exemplary’ or ‘Outstanding’ – candidates discharged with a medical category below ‘A’ or with a character certificate other than Exemplary or Outstanding are not eligible. Verify these from your service records before travelling to Panchkula. Third, you must not have been removed or dismissed from service on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct or medical unfitness – this is an absolute bar. Additionally, candidates who have previously been appointed as an SPO in any other district of Haryana are also ineligible. Bring the affidavit declaring these facts, as required by the application form.
