GACL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL), an ISO-certified chemical manufacturing company promoted by the Government of Gujarat, has released a notification for engagement of Apprentices across its Baroda and Dahej plants under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and 1973. Openings span four broad categories: ITI Trade Apprentices (AOCP, Fitter, Electrician, MMCP, IMCP, LACP, COPA and Instrument Mechanic), Technician (Diploma) Apprentices in engineering disciplines, Graduate Engineer Apprentices in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Computer/IT and Environment Engineering, and non-technical posts including Apprentice Accountant and Apprentice Junior Data Associate. Training is at GACL’s Baroda and Dahej plants in Gujarat. Applications are submitted online through the GACL HR portal at gaclportal.gacl.co.in and the last date to apply is 5 September 2026.

Important – Read Before You Apply: Four things that determine your eligibility before you open the portal. First, only candidates who completed their qualifying degree, diploma or ITI in 2025 or 2026 are eligible – candidates from earlier pass-out years are not eligible for this cycle. Second, candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship training in any organisation under the Apprentices Act are not eligible – prior apprenticeship experience is a disqualifying condition, not a preference. Third, the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31 July 2026 for all categories – candidates who crossed 25 years before this cut-off date are not eligible regardless of qualification. Fourth, shortlisting is based on the percentage obtained in the qualifying examination – there is no written test; candidates with higher marks in their ITI, Diploma or Degree are preferred; ensure your mark sheets are ready for upload.
