Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable as per state government rules for reserved categories.
Educational Qualification:
For Classes 6 to 10 (Table I): Candidates must hold a Postgraduate/Graduate degree in the relevant subject along with B.Ed or a recognised teacher training qualification.
For Classes 1 to 5 (Table II): Candidates must hold a Graduate degree along with B.Ed or a recognised teacher training qualification.
Terms of Engagement
- This is a purely temporary arrangement under Service Procurement, and the service will automatically end upon appointment of regular teachers.
- Selected teachers will be engaged for a maximum period of 6 months initially, extendable by another 6 months based on satisfactory performance, subject to review by the district-level committee. In no case will this arrangement exceed one year.
- Teachers will be required to work a minimum of 5 working days per week, with a maximum of 4 teaching hours per day.
- Honorarium will be paid at Rs. 200 per hour based on actual teaching hours delivered.
- No additional allowance will be admissible for this hourly-based engagement.
- Selected teachers will not be entitled to any leave, transfer, or residential accommodation facility at the school.
- Honorarium payment will be made strictly based on daily attendance and actual teaching work performed.
Selection Process
- Selection will be made on the basis of a signed agreement (Ekrarnama), with priority given to SC/ST/backward class/women candidates and those familiar with the local language from the same block.
- State government reservation policy will be applicable during selection.
- If eligible candidates are not available at the block level, the committee will select suitable candidates from the district level.
- Candidates will be selected subject-wise based on merit, considering PG/Graduate B.Ed or teacher training qualifications.
- The merit list will be prepared as per the SOP/guidelines determined by the state government and the district selection committee.
- In case of a tie in marks between two or more candidates, priority will be given as per government rules.
