The result lists are arranged by roll number, not by merit rank. Candidates must check whether their roll number appears in List 1 (Ex-Servicemen – PST), List 2 (Home Guard – PET) or List 3 (General/direct candidates – PET), as each list covers a different category and different physical test stage. |---|---|---|
| List 1 | Ex-Servicemen candidates | Physical Standard Test (PST) only |

Selection Process Overview
The full selection process for these posts has three stages:
Stage 1 – Written Examination (Completed): Held on 14 and 17 June 2026. Candidates scoring below 30% in the written exam were not considered for PET/PST shortlisting. The result published on 18 August 2026 covers this stage.
Stage 2 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST): This is the current next stage for shortlisted candidates. PET involves physical fitness tasks such as running, long jump and high jump. PST involves physical measurement of height, chest and weight as prescribed for each post. Ex-Servicemen in List 1 appear for PST; Home Guard (List 2) and general candidates (List 3) appear for PET as applicable to their post category. The PET/PST schedule, venue details and admit card release date have not yet been announced by CSBC.
Stage 3 – Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the PET/PST stage will be called for document verification. Final selection is based on overall performance across all stages as per the recruitment rules for each post.

- Begin physical preparation immediately – running stamina, long jump and high jump practice as applicable to your post.
- Gather all original documents you will need at the document verification stage later, including certificates of category, educational qualification, age proof and any reserved quota claim (Ex-Servicemen discharge certificate, Home Guard service record, Freedom Fighter Ward certificate, etc.).
- Do not miss the PET/PST call when it is issued – a missed physical test generally results in elimination from the recruitment without any second chance.
- Results are arranged by roll number within each list, not by merit. Appearing in the list only means you have been called for PET/PST, not that you have secured a rank.
