CBSL Recruitment 2026 - 10 Posts

Canara Bank Securities Limited (CBSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canara Bank, has released its General Recruitment Process 2026-27 combined with a Special Recruitment Drive for filling SC, ST and OBC backlogs, dated 20 August 2026 from Mumbai and signed by the General Manager. A total of 10 posts are on offer across seven departments – AVP Operations, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, and Assistant Manager/Officer/Junior Officer on Contract in DP Back Office Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, Institutional Dealing and Research. Postings are at Mumbai and Bengaluru. There is no online application portal and no written examination. Candidates must download the physical application form from the company website, fill and sign it, and email it along with an updated resume to the recruitment mailbox by 15 September 2026 till 6:00 PM. All eligibility – qualification, age and experience – is computed as on 31 July 2026. Selection is by shortlisting followed by a personal interview only.

Important – Read Before You Apply: Four things that will get your application rejected before anyone reads it. First, the email subject line is fixed and different for every single post – the job description for each department prescribes an exact wording, and each one states plainly that no application will be accepted with any other subject. Second, the notification sets the minimum age at 20 years while the official application form prints it as 21 years – if your age as on 31 July 2026 falls between 20 and 21, write to the company and get this confirmed before you apply rather than assuming either figure. Third, candidates who applied to CBSL on earlier occasions in the last 12 months and were not shortlisted or selected need not apply again – CBSL ran multiple recruitment rounds through 2025, so a large number of repeat applicants are directly excluded by this clause. Fourth, this engagement is not employment in Canara Bank and carries no claim whatsoever against Canara Bank – several of the 10 posts are Junior Officer on Contract, and the company reserves the right to conduct police verification and draw CIBIL credit reports on successful candidates.

Computer proficiency is required for all posts. Note that Research is the only department where the Junior Officer on Contract experience bar is 3 years rather than 2, placing it level with the Officer grade. Note also that Institutional Dealing and Research both require the relevant NISM certification as a mandatory condition, not a preference – candidates without a valid certificate on hand should not apply to those two departments.

The Email Subject Line – Fixed Per Post

Every department job description prescribes an exact subject line and states that no application will be accepted with any other subject. This is the single most common reason a correctly eligible application gets discarded.

Post Applied ForExact Subject Line to Use
AVP OperationsApplication for the post of AVP – Operations
CS and Compliance OfficerApplication for the post of Company Secretary and Compliance Officer
DP Operations, BengaluruApplication for DP Operations – Bengaluru
Risk ManagementApplication for Risk Management
ComplianceApplication for the post of Compliance
Institutional Dealing DeskApplication for Institutional Dealing Desk
Research DepartmentApplication for Research Department

Send one email per post. Do not combine two applications into a single mail.

Age Limit

Age is reckoned as on 31 July 2026 (inclusive).

CategoryAge Limit
Minimum age20 years as per the notification; the official application form states 21 years
Maximum age (Unreserved)30 years
SC and ST30 + 5 years relaxation
OBC30 + 3 years relaxation
Candidates with capital markets or financial services experienceFurther relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of work experience, up to a maximum of 10 years, for all categories, on production of satisfactory proof

The experience-based relaxation is what makes the AVP post workable at all. The AVP role demands a minimum of 8 years in capital market operations, which almost nobody can hold by age 30. Candidates applying for AVP Operations should be ready to document their full working history, because the relaxation is granted only against proof of relevant experience.

Pay and CTC

Every job description states that CTC is offered as per company policy. CBSL has not published a pay scale, grade pay or indicative CTC range for any of the 10 posts, so no salary figure should be assumed from earlier CBSL cycles. The company has also reserved the right to recruit candidates at any grade or designation depending on their qualification and past work experience, meaning the grade you apply for is not necessarily the grade you are offered.

Selected candidates as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Manager or Officer will be on probation for one year, counted as 12 months of active service from the date of joining, as per company HR policy. Junior Officer positions are explicitly on contract.

Application Fee

The notification does not prescribe any application fee for any category. No payment gateway, challan or fee receipt forms part of this process. Applications are submitted by email only.

How to Apply
  1. Open the CBSL careers page and read the main notification in full before doing anything else. Confirm your eligibility for the specific department you are targeting.
  2. Open the department job description PDF for the post you want. Each of the seven departments has its own separate PDF setting out qualification, experience, responsibilities and the mandatory email subject line.
  3. Download the application form for the General and Special Recruitment Project 2026-2027 – the link is in the Important Links table below.

  5. Tick the post you are applying for under Section 1 (General Recruitment Project 2026-2027). If you are applying under the backlog drive, you must additionally tick your category and the post under Section 2 (Special Recruitment Drive for Backlogs – SC, ST and OBC candidates only).
  6. Complete the declarations at items 16 and 17 honestly. These cover arrest or prosecution history, debarment from any examination or institution, pending university cases, and any case filed against you by a bank or insurance company for non-payment of a loan.

  8. Scan the completed and signed form together with your self-attested supporting documents.
  9. Email the scanned application and an updated resume to the CBSL recruitment mailbox, using the exact subject line prescribed for your post.
