BPSC TRE 4.0 TEACHER RECRUITMENT 2026

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), Patna, vide Advertisement No. 14/2026 dated 18 August 2026, has invited online applications for the 4th Phase (TRE-4.0) of School Teacher Recruitment under the Education Department, Government of Bihar for 32,388 School Teacher posts across four school levels – Primary (Class 1 to 5), Middle (Class 6 to 8), Secondary (Class 9 to 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 11 to 12) – spread across 38 districts of Bihar. The online application process begins on 1 September 2026 and closes on 30 September 2026. The application fee is Rs. 100 per category per post applied for (paid separately for each category – Primary, Middle, Secondary, Higher Secondary). Selection is through a Preliminary Examination and a Main Examination – there is no interview. The Preliminary Exam is a 2-hour, 150-mark, MCQ-based general studies screening test. The Main Exam is a 2-hour, 150-mark MCQ objective paper covering language (eligibility), general studies and subject-specific knowledge. Candidates must hold CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I for Primary, CTET Paper-II or BTET Paper-II for Middle, STET Paper-I for Secondary, and STET Paper-II for Higher Secondary, as applicable.

Important Note: Three things every BPSC TRE 4.0 applicant must act on before 30 September 2026. First, you can apply for more than one level (e.g., both Middle and Secondary) but must pay Rs. 100 separately for each category and download separate admit cards, sit separate exams, and produce required proofs per category. The online application is separate per category. Applying in multiple categories requires verifying that you meet all eligibility conditions (TET or STET and qualification) for each level independently. Second, candidates appearing in STET 2026 can also apply for Secondary and Higher Secondary teacher posts – but with a special condition: they must have qualified the Preliminary Exam before STET results, and the admit card for the Main Exam will be issued only if they pass STET before the Main Exam. Candidates must give a self-declaration about STET participation at the time of application, with original proof to be submitted later to BPSC for verification. Third, Biometric fee of Rs. 200 is charged additionally to candidates who do not link their Aadhaar in the online application – Aadhaar linking at the time of application avoids this extra charge. Keep your Aadhaar-linked mobile number active, as OTP-based verification is used for document authentication at results stage.
