Selection Process
Selection is through Written Examination and/or Oral Test (Interview), decided by the BMC Selection Committee based on applications received.

- For Executive Engineer (Civil): if both written exam and oral test are held, written exam carries 90% weight and oral test 10%
- For Sanitary Sub Inspector and MPHW: final merit is based 100% on the written exam/oral test result
- Sports quota: for the MPHW post, candidates with National/International, Inter-University or All India School-level sports representation in prescribed sports (including athletics, cricket, football, hockey, kabaddi, chess and others) receive a 5% bonus on first-stage written exam marks, on production of the prescribed certificate
- Widowed candidates (all three posts) receive 5% additional marks in the written exam under Government provisions, subject to remarriage-status conditions in the notification
- The merit list remains valid for 2 years or until the next such exam result is declared, whichever is earlier
