3. The revised cut-off is lower than the original May 2026 cut-off in every general sub-category listed. If you narrowly missed selection in May, check the revised cut-off and your area merit list now.

Candidates who were recommended in the original May 2026 result but did not join their posting create vacancies. RSSB fills these seats by recommending the next candidates from the merit list in order of rank within each area and category. Because these are the next candidates down the merit order, the revised cut-off marks are lower than the original cut-off in most categories.
