A candidate whose GATE marks are below the qualifying mark for their category on the score card is not eligible, regardless of having a score card. A score card in Civil Engineering is not accepted for AEE (Mechanical) and vice versa.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 42 years as on 1 January 2026 – born not earlier than 2 January 1984 and not later than 1 January 2005. The date of birth in the HSC (10th) certificate is the only one accepted.

Odia Language Requirement
Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Odia and must have one of:
- Passed the Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject
- Passed Matriculation or equivalent with Odia as the medium of examination in a non-language subject
- Passed Odia as a language subject in the Class VII final examination of a recognised school
- Passed the Odia test of Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department or Board of Secondary Education, Odisha
Candidates without Odia evidence in the HSC certificate must upload a Headmaster’s or Principal’s certificate or the Odia Test Pass Certificate, issued before the last date.

Important Instructions
- There is no OPSC written examination for this recruitment. Your GATE score is the primary determinant of selection.
