Kerala State Road Transport Corporation SWIFT (KSRTC SWIFT), a Government of Kerala company that operates KSRTC’s long-distance bus services, has invited online applications for 1,040 posts on a daily-wage contractual basis – 385 Driver, 345 Conductor, and 310 Driver-cum-Conductor. Important Note:

  • Driver and Driver-cum-Conductor candidates must verify their HMV licence has both Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger endorsements and meets the 7-year/3-year licence experience conditions before applying. Obtain the ophthalmologist’s certificate from a Government doctor certifying 6/6 distant and 0.5 near vision in each eye before selection.
  • If selected, you must keep Rs. 30,000 ready for the demand draft security deposit and be prepared to serve KSRTC SWIFT for a minimum of two years with at least 240 duties per year. Breaking this bond means forfeiture of the security deposit.

Applications are scrutinised first. Shortlisted candidates are called for the tests and interview before a selection committee. A rank list is published and temporary appointments are made in rank order as work arises. The rank list is valid for one year. A stand-by list is also prepared. The company is not bound to engage everyone on the rank list; work is given by rotation and no claim lies against this.

  2. Fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational, licence, and experience details.
  3. Upload self-attested copies of certificates proving your educational qualification, experience, licence details, and age.
  4. Upload a recent passport-size photograph.
  5. Pay the Rs. 100 application fee online through the portal.
  6. Submit before 22 October 2026 at 5:00 PM. Applications through any other mode will not be accepted.

Key Conditions Before You Apply

  • Driver applicants must ensure both Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger endorsements are on their HMV licence, and must meet the 7-year and 3-year licence experience conditions on the last date.
  • Driver-cum-Conductor applicants must have the Welfare Fund contribution copy or Government experience certificates proving 5 years of heavy passenger vehicle experience before applying.

  • Bus damage above Rs. 1 lakh caused by crew can lead to dismissal; damage below that is proportionately recovered.
  • Unauthorised absence causing service cancellation or delay is the crew’s full responsibility and losses are recovered from them.

  • KSRTC employees with five or more years’ experience are given preference.
