Why a Corrected Answer Key Was Issued
NPSC had originally released the provisional answer key for CESE 2026 on 12 August 2026, covering a wide range of subjects such as General Knowledge, General English, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Education, Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Tenyidie and Zoology, with objections accepted until 19 August 2026. Following review of the objections received, NPSC has now issued a corrected answer key specifically for 8 of these subjects, replacing the earlier version for those particular subjects. We made a genuine attempt to identify the exact names of these 8 corrected subjects from the official notification, but the specific list was contained only within the downloadable PDF itself and could not be extracted as text, so affected candidates should open the official PDF directly to confirm whether their subject is among the corrected ones.
What This Means for Candidates
Candidates who appeared for CESE 2026 in any of the subjects affected by this correction should refer only to this corrected answer key dated 16 September 2026 rather than the original 12 August 2026 version, since the corrected key supersedes it for those specific subjects. The official notification does not clearly mention whether a fresh round of objections will be accepted against this corrected key, so candidates are advised to check the notification carefully or contact NPSC directly if they wish to raise a further objection.
