The National Health Mission (NHM), Directorate of Health Services, Panaji, Goa, has released Advertisement No. DHS/NHM-ADM/29/Staff-Recruitment/2026-27/1537 dated 26 August 2026 for filling 125 posts purely on contract basis for a period of one year across 28 designations spanning specialist doctors, medical officers, nurses, allied health professionals, technicians, counsellors and support staff. Posts are distributed across North Goa and South Goa locations as specified per designation. Applications are accepted online via Google Form only, and the last date to apply is 18 September 2026. Selected candidates must produce hard copies of all documents at the time of interview. The consolidated monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 8,000 for Dental Assistant (part-time) to Rs. 1,00,000 for Specialist Cardiologist.
Important – Read Before You Apply: Four things that make or break eligibility for these posts. First, a 15-year Goa residence certificate is mandatory for all applicants – the only exceptions are children of State Government employees working outside Goa, persons whose marriage is registered in Goa with 15 years’ residence and both spouses residing continuously in Goa for 5 years, and ex-servicemen/women and their spouse and children who have resided in Goa for the last 2 years after discharge or retirement. If you do not qualify under one of these conditions and do not have the 15-year certificate, do not apply. Second, knowledge of Konkani is essential for all 28 posts without exception – knowledge of Marathi is additionally desirable for most posts; absence of Konkani proficiency is a disqualifying condition. Third, these are purely contractual appointments for one year with no claim to regularisation or absorption into any State Government regular service – they will not be regularised under any circumstances, as this is a National Health Programme. Fourth, applications without a valid council registration will not be entertained for posts that require it – this covers Audiologist (RCI registration), Community Health Officer (Goa Nursing Council enrolment), Palliative Nurse, Lactation Counsellor and Staff Nurse (Goa Nursing Council registration), and Pharmacist (Goa State Pharmacy Council registration); submit applications only after obtaining valid registration.
