Understanding the CBT 1 Result
The CBT 1 result shortlists candidates for the 2nd Stage CBT (CBT 2). Two things about how scores work:
Normalisation: RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 was held across multiple sessions on multiple dates. To ensure fairness, raw marks are converted to normalized scores. The scorecard will show normalized marks, which may be higher or lower than the raw score a candidate counted on exam day.
No sectional cut-off: There is no minimum mark required in individual sections of CBT 1. Only the overall normalized score determines whether a candidate is shortlisted.
Scorecard access: From 26 August 2026 at 5:00 PM, candidates can log in with their Registration Number and Date of Birth to view their normalized marks and response sheet. Even candidates not shortlisted can check their marks.
