Job Roles and Responsibilities

Customer Service Officer (CSO) – Field Work:

The CSO is the front-line field role responsible for building and maintaining the branch’s microfinance loan portfolio:

  • Sourcing and primary verification of new clients
  • Conducting Compulsory Group Training (CGT) for newly formed groups
  • Data entry in CRIF (credit bureau system) and CMS (company management system)
  • Accompanying the Branch Manager for Group Recognition Test (GRT)
  • Supporting pre-disbursement activities alongside the Customer Service Executive (CSE)
  • Ensuring smooth loan disbursement
  • Generating demand from active loan groups
  • Collecting loan installments on scheduled dates and remitting collections to designated bank/s
  • Following up for recovery in cases of missed or delayed payments
  • Reporting daily demand and collection figures to Area Branch Manager (ABM) and Branch Manager (BM)
  • Maintaining and filing all required loan documentation

Telecaller – Work From Home:

  • Calling existing and prospective customers from the provided database
  • Following up with customers and maintaining proper records of all conversations
  • Understanding customer concerns and analysing them to identify the root cause
  • Educating customers on NABFINS products, processes and repayment schedules
  • Maintaining call logs and MIS as directed
