Selection Process
Step 1 – Application Screening: Eligible candidates are shortlisted based on the declaration in the application. Where a large number of applications are received, shortlisting additionally considers relevant experience, current monthly pay/CTC and additional qualifications from the enclosed documents.
Step 2 – Written Test/Group Discussion (if required): CCI may conduct a written test or group discussion before the interview at its discretion based on the number and quality of applicants.
Step 3 – Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview. Candidates must carry original documents to the interview – those without originals will not be permitted to appear and TA will not be reimbursed. Sleeper class train fare (shortest route) is reimbursable only if the distance between the candidate’s correspondence address and the interview venue exceeds 50 km.
Step 4 – Medical Examination: Candidates shortlisted after interview undergo a medical examination with reports signed by the CMO of a Government Hospital in CCI’s prescribed format and examined by CCI’s Medical Officer. Candidates found medically unfit do not proceed further.
Step 5 – Document Verification: Only candidates who clear the medical examination proceed to document verification. Documents not in order result in summary rejection at this stage.
Candidates with cement industry experience and additional relevant professional qualifications are given preference, other things being equal.
