Reservation Policy
- 100% of all posts (both backlog and fresh vacancies) are reserved for candidates who are Indigenous Inhabitants of the State of Nagaland, belonging to any Naga Tribe, Kuki, Kachari, Garo or Mikir communities.
- Backward Tribe (B.T.) reservations are implemented as per Nagaland Government Notification No. RCBT-5/87(pt-II) dated 14 April 2011, 15 June 2012 and 23 March 2022.

How to Apply for NPSC Stenographer Recruitment 2026
This is a two-step process. OTR must be completed before the application form can be submitted.
Step 1 – One Time Registration (OTR):
- Visit the official NPSC portal at npsc.nagaland.gov.in from noon on 21 August 2026.
- Click on OTR (One Time Registration) and complete registration – this is free of cost.
- Only candidates eligible to appear for the Stenographer Exam-2026 should register. OTR closes at noon on 02 September 2026.
Step 2 – Online Application:
