Eligibility – Educational Qualification
A candidate must fulfil all of the following:
- Passed the Senior Secondary Examination (Arts, Science, or Commerce) of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government, or any higher examination.
- Good working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and of Rajasthani dialects.
- Passed one of: “O”/Higher Level Certificate Course (DOEACC); COPA/DPCS certificate (NCVT/SCVT); Diploma in Computer Science/Application from a recognized university/institution; Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic; RSCIT (Rajasthan State Certificate Course in IT, VMOU Kota); Senior Secondary with Computer Science as an optional subject; or equivalent/higher qualification.

Method of Evaluation
- A 5% margin of mistakes is allowed; excess over 5% is deducted from total dictated words while calculating speed.
- Speed = (Actual correct words + permissible/actual mistakes, whichever lower) ÷ 6 minutes.
- Marks = (Actual correct words × 100) ÷ Total dictated words.
- Font for Computer Test: “Kruti Dev 010” (Hindi) / “Calibri” (English). Minimum required speed: 8,000 key depressions per hour.
Merit List and Interview
- Merit list is based on Total Aggregate Marks in Shorthand Test + Computer Test (Speed + Efficiency).
- Successful candidates are called for interview to the extent of total vacancies, in merit order.
- Tie-breaker: higher marks in Shorthand Test; if still tied, older candidate ranked higher.
- The Interview carries no marks – it only checks that the candidate can read back their own writing without impediment.
District Preference and Merit Rules
- Merit list for District Courts and DLSAs is prepared institute-wise, in preference order – first District Courts, second DLSAs.
- Candidates select up to five district judgeships, in order of preference, at application time.
- Non-TSP applicants cannot select TSP district vacancies.
- TSP-resident candidates must compulsorily select their own TSP district as first preference (may additionally choose up to four Non-TSP districts); if not selected first, their application won’t be considered for that TSP district.
Reservation Rules – TSP Areas
- For TSP areas (Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Salumber districts), each district is a separate unit.
- 5% posts filled by eligible SC candidates, 45% posts by eligible ST candidates; remaining 50% filled by eligible candidates of any category in that TSP area, on merit.
- If sufficient local ST candidates are unavailable, the vacancy may be filled from ST candidates across the wider TSP area.

- SC/ST/OBC/MBC candidates need a valid caste certificate in the prescribed format; OBC/MBC certificates valid for 1 year (extendable to 3 years via affidavit).
