Punjab Haryana High Court Clerk Recruitment 2026 - Apply for 1270 Posts by 4 Nov at sssc.gov.in

The Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (SSSC), functioning under the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh, has released Detailed Employment Notice No. 37C/SSSC/PB/2026 dated 3 October 2026 for direct recruitment to 1,270 Clerk posts in the District Courts across the State of Punjab. Online applications are open from 7 October 2026 at 4:00 PM and close on 4 November 2026 at 4:00 PM at sssc.gov.in. Selection is through an online Computer Based Test followed by a qualifying Computer Proficiency Test and checking of original testimonials.

Important Note: Three things every candidate must know. First, Punjabi at Matriculation level is MANDATORY. Candidates who have not studied Punjabi as a subject in their Class 10 Board exam are not eligible regardless of their degree qualification. Second, reservation benefits, age relaxation and fee concessions are available ONLY to bonafide residents of Punjab. Candidates from SC/BC/OBC/EWS/PwBD or any other reserved category of other states must apply as Unreserved (UR/General) and pay the full UR fee of Rs. 1,200. Third, the final merit list is based solely on written examination marks – the Computer Proficiency Test is only qualifying. So the written exam is everything. Prepare intensively for it.
