Nature of Work
Senior Associates (Policy) will each own a policy family, such as industrial policy, manufacturing, IT policy, or energy and electric mobility, preparing the Policy Analysis and Stakeholder Consultation Report, conducting 15 to 25 firm interviews per policy, and drafting Cabinet-ready Empowered Mission proposals. Associates (Evaluation and Data) will carry one or two welfare schemes through every quarterly evaluation round, covering sampling, instrument adaptation, field supervision, back-checks, and analysis, along with audit and reconciliation of compliance and expenditure records. Both categories are required to undertake 12 to 15 days of field and consultation duty each quarter, including in rural, tribal, and remote habitations. Research Associates will handle multi-stage stratified sampling design, weighting, non-response adjustment, and matched-comparison outcome analysis. The Project Manager will oversee the quarterly calendar, MoUs, field agency contracts, project accounts, and statutory compliance.

Terms of Engagement
This is a contractual and project-based engagement for one year from the date of joining, extendable by a second year subject to performance and continuation of the project, with no claim to regular appointment in IIM Mumbai, CRISP, or the Government of Maharashtra. Performance will be reviewed at the end of the third month and at the close of each quarterly round, and either side may terminate the engagement on one month’s notice or emoluments in lieu. Posting is at Powai, with field duty in sampled districts being essential and non-negotiable. Every member must sign a confidentiality and data-protection undertaking, and beneficiary data will be handled under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, with no Aadhaar number collected or stored.
