The Principal District and Sessions Court, Hassan, Karnataka, has released Notification No. Administration/01/2026 dated 18 August 2026 for direct recruitment to 48 Group D/Class IV posts of Peon (Sevaka/Attender) under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Clerk and Other Posts) (Recruitment) Rules 1982, as amended in 2007 and 2021. Online applications are accepted at hassan.dcourts.gov.in from 19 August 2026 to 17 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. Fee payment must be completed by 19 September 2026 within State Bank of India office hours. The minimum qualification is SSLC (10th Standard) pass with the ability to read and write Kannada. Pay scale is Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 46,675 per month. There is no written examination; shortlisting for interview is based on SSLC marks.

Important – Read Before You Apply: Four things that matter before you fill the form. First, this recruitment is subject to the final outcome of Writ Petition Nos. 200448/2025, 17968/2025 and 3145/2023, currently pending before the Karnataka High Court – the selection process may be stayed, modified or cancelled depending on the outcome of these cases; apply with that understanding. Second, a one-time 5-year upper-age relaxation has been applied to this specific notification under Government Order No. SiAsu 262 SeNeNi 2025 dated 29-01-2026 – the relaxed age limits (40/43/45 years) apply to this recruitment only; do not rely on the standard KSSB or Karnataka Government age limits when checking eligibility. Third, the fee payment deadline is 19 September 2026 – two days after the online application closes – failing to pay the fee within State Bank of India office hours on that date will result in rejection even if the application was submitted before 17 September. Fourth, shortlisting for interview is based purely on SSLC marks with a 1:10 ratio against vacancies – candidates who have only passed SSLC without distinction will compete against those with higher marks, so your SSLC percentage directly determines whether you get an interview call; verify your marks sheet before applying.
