Banda Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 - 122 Posts

The Office of the District Programme Officer, Banda, Uttar Pradesh, has released Letter No. C-950/BaViPari/AaSaha-Chayan Vigyapti/2026-27 dated 22 August 2026 for online applications from women candidates for 122 Anganwadi Karyakartri (Anganwadi Worker) posts across 9 Bal Vikas Pariyojnas (Child Development Projects) in Banda district. Posts are distributed across the rural and urban areas of Baberu, Badokhar Khurd, Banda Shahar, Bisanda, Jaspura, Kamasin, Mahuwa, Naraini and Tindwari projects. Applications are accepted online only at upanganwadibharti.in and the last date to apply is 22 September 2026 at midnight. There is no written examination; selection is through a merit list based on educational marks from Intermediate to Post-Graduate level, along with priority-category (widow/divorced/deserted) and income-level criteria.

Important – Read Before You Apply: Four things that will get your application rejected before anyone reads it. First, you can only apply for the AWC in the specific Gram Sabha or Ward where you actually reside – applying for a centre in any other Gram Sabha or Ward makes you ineligible regardless of your qualifications; check the full centre-wise vacancy list and confirm that the AWC you are applying for falls in your area of residence before starting the application. Second, your age is determined solely from the date of birth recorded in your High School (10th standard) certificate – no other document is accepted for age calculation; ensure your High School certificate clearly states your date of birth. Third, for urban-area posts (Banda Shahar project), the residence certificate must be digitally signed at the Tehsil level and must mention the Ward number and Ward name – a residence certificate without the Ward details or without a digital Tehsil signature will not be accepted. Fourth, the merit list counts marks from Intermediate (12th standard) onwards up to Post-Graduate level – if you have higher qualifications, your total weighted marks will be compared with other candidates; ensure all mark sheets from 12th to the highest qualification are ready to upload.
