Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Both posts carry a maximum age limit of 40 years, calculated as on the last date of submission of application. Age relaxation for Government servants and SC/ST/OBC candidates is applicable as per DoPT instructions. Further relaxation may be considered for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates or retired professionals.
Educational Qualification:
Health Economist (Level of Scientist C): Master’s degree in Health Economics, Economics, Public Health, or Community Medicine with specialization in Healthcare Costing and Economic Evaluation, along with 2 years of experience for Junior Staff or 6 years for Senior Staff. A Ph.D. in a related field and proficiency in MS Office, VBA, and TreeAge are desirable.
Scientist C (Medical): MBBS with 6 years of experience, or a Postgraduate Diploma after MBBS with 5 years of experience, or MD/MS/DNB/MPH after MBBS with 4 years of research experience. A Ph.D. in a relevant public health/medical discipline is desirable.
Scientist C (Non-Medical): M.Sc. in Life Sciences/MPH/MHA/M.Pharm/Pharm D with 4 years of experience in the relevant area. A Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology with 2 years of R&D/Teaching experience is desirable.
Research Officer: Graduate in Science or a relevant subject with 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in a relevant subject, or Pharm D from a recognised institution.

Selection Process
Selection will be based on eligibility screening followed by a Written Test, Skill Test, or Interview, tentatively scheduled for 19 September 2026. Terms of Engagement

- Performance will be reviewed every six months, and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination with one month’s notice or one month’s stipend in lieu thereof.

- Private practice of any type is prohibited, and the selected candidate may be posted at any location as per project requirements, including rural areas or field sites.
