Two notifications have been released: Advt. No. HMFW/2026 (SMO BID) 2755 (MD) dated 1 October 2026 for 200 Non-Teaching Specialist Medical Officer posts, and Advt. No. NHM/03/2026 (SMO BID) 2750 (MD) dated 30 September 2026 for 106 Specialist Medical Officer posts under NHM. Online applications open on 8 October 2026 and close on 31 October 2026 at 11:59 PM at recruitment.jharkhand.gov.in.
Important Note: Three things every candidate must understand before applying. First, this is a BIDDING-BASED engagement, not a fixed salary recruitment. Candidates quote their own monthly remuneration for each facility, and the bidder quoting the lowest acceptable remuneration (L-1) is selected. Quote wisely. Second, a candidate can bid for a maximum of THREE facilities in one application. Check the Annexure-I of the respective advertisement for the facility-wise list by district and specialization before selecting facilities. Third, this is purely CONTRACTUAL engagement – it does not confer any right to regular appointment, seniority or other service benefits of regular government employees. JRHMS SMO Recruitment 2026: Nature of Engagement
- Purely contractual. Not a permanent government appointment.
- Initial agreement may be for 3 years, co-terminus with the financial year, renewable with mutual consent.
- Engagement ends when a regular SMO is posted at the concerned facility.
- Allotted facility is non-transferable.
- To discontinue: 3 months’ prior notice or 3 months’ remuneration in lieu.
- Termination by Department: 1 month’s notice or 1 month’s remuneration in lieu.
