Online applications open on 14 October 2026 and close on 12 November 2026 at jkssb.nic.in. A corrigendum has also been issued — candidates must read both the original notification and the corrigendum before applying. J&K Domicile Certificate is mandatory.
Important Note: Three things every candidate must know. First, J&K Domicile is mandatory — non-domicile candidates are not eligible. The Domicile Certificate must be valid on or before the cut-off date of 12 November 2026. Second, candidates must not possess a qualification higher than 10+2. Candidates with graduate or higher degrees are NOT eligible and their application will be summarily rejected. Third, the selection score is out of 100, combining written test marks and additional weightage points. Weightage is available for home division/district candidates, candidates with no government-employed family member, widows/divorced/orphan girls and casual workers with 5+ years service. Selection is based on an Objective Type Written Test followed by Document Verification. Final merit is determined by written test marks plus additional weightage points, totalling 100.

- Negative marking: one-fourth (0.25) marks deducted per wrong answer.
