Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility varies by post. Sub Inspector posts (Civil/AR/SPF) require any degree from a recognized university, while SC/ST candidates need a minimum of Intermediate. Selection Process

The selection process varies by post category. For SI (Civil/AR/SPF) and Constable (Civil/AR/Fireman/Warders), candidates undergo a qualifying Preliminary Written Test of two papers (100 marks each), followed by Physical Measurements Test (167.6 cm for men, 152.5 cm for women) and Physical Efficiency Test covering 1600m run, 100m run, and long jump, before a Final Written Examination of four papers over 3 hours each.

For SI (Communications/PTO), candidates proceed directly to Certificate Verification and Physical Measurements Test with a qualifying 1600m run, followed by a written exam of three papers. For Constable (Communications), candidates undergo PMT, a qualifying 1600m run, and a Technical Paper of 200 marks. For Constable (Mechanics/Drivers), candidates undergo PMT, a qualifying 1600m run, a Trade Test or Driving Test of 100 marks (minimum 50 to qualify), and a Technical Paper of 200 marks over 3 hours. Scientific Assistant candidates undergo a single written exam of 120 questions for 120 marks in English only, followed by Certificate Verification.

The minimum qualifying marks across written examinations are 40% for OC/EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC/ST candidates.
