Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent examination with Science or Mathematics from a recognized board or institution. Candidates must be registered with an Employment Exchange in Uttarakhand, or hold a domicile certificate of Uttarakhand, or have passed High School or Intermediate from an institution located in Uttarakhand. The age limit is between 18 and 28 years as of 1 July 2026. Age relaxation of 5 years applies to SC/ST/OBC candidates, 10 years to Divyang (PwD) candidates, 5 years to dependents of freedom fighters, and relaxation as per service rules applies to Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of two stages. Candidates must first qualify the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), both of which are qualifying in nature. Candidates who clear these physical tests then appear for a written competitive examination consisting of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions, conducted offline over 2 hours, with a negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer. The minimum qualifying marks in the written exam are 45% for UR/EWS/OBC candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates.
