Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army, Captain in the Indian Navy, or Group Captain in the Indian Air Force, with a minimum of 2 years’ seniority in that rank and a minimum of 20 years of total Defence service as of 1 September 2026. Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in any discipline (Pass Class), with no minimum percentage specified. Retired officers must have been discharged from Defence Services within 5 years of the advertisement date; serving officers nearing retirement are also eligible to apply. The maximum age limit is 52 years for General category candidates and 55 years for OBC candidates, as of 1 September 2026.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed on a pay scale of Rs. 90,000 with 3% annual increments up to Rs. 2,40,000, under Grade E-VIA. In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, perks up to 35% of basic pay, Provident Fund, Gratuity and Pension benefits, Group Insurance, Performance Related Pay, and Medical Reimbursement.
