The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, the designated state authority for centralised medical admission counselling in Punjab, has released the Provisional Combined Merit List for NEET UG 2026 for the 1st Round of Online Counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions in Punjab. The merit list is based on NEET UG 2026 scores and ranks in accordance with the governing notification issued by the Department of Medical Education and Research, Government of Punjab vide No. MER-HTH305C/9/2024-5HB3/I/1443408/2026 dated 10 July 2026. BFUHS conducts centralised counselling for the 85% State Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota MBBS and BDS seats across Punjab’s Government and Private Medical and Dental colleges. The 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are filled separately by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and are not part of this process. The provisional merit list was released on 13 August 2026. Candidates can view their Merit Number, Punjab State Registration Number, NEET Roll Number, NEET Marks, NEET Rank and Eligibility Status for 85% State Quota in the official PDF at bfuhs.ggsmch.org and admission.bfuhsonline.ac.in. Objections to the provisional list must be raised in person at BFUHS, Faridkot on 14 August 2026. The final merit list is expected on 15 August 2026, followed by Round 1 choice filling from 16 to 19 August 2026.
Important Note: Three things every Punjab NEET UG 2026 candidate must act on immediately. First, check your eligibility status for 85% State Quota in the merit list PDF – appearing in the list does not automatically mean you are eligible for state quota seats. The PDF shows your eligibility status separately. If it shows ineligible for state quota, you may still be eligible for Management or NRI quota seats, but not for state quota seats. Understand your eligibility before choosing seats during choice filling. Second, objections to the provisional merit list are accepted only in person at BFUHS, Faridkot on 14 August 2026 – there is no online objection process and no email or phone channel for this. If your name, NEET score, rank or eligibility status is incorrectly reflected in the provisional list, you must appear in person at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot on the objection date with supporting documents. Third, the Round 1 choice filling window is only 4 days (16 to 19 August 2026) – review the official seat matrix for your category, list your college and course preferences carefully and lock your choices before 19 August at 5:00 PM. Unlocked choices are not considered for allotment.
